Taco Soup

It's football season and the beginning of fall. Whether you have a house full of people on game days, or plan on spending a cold night inside snuggled up on the couch with a glass of wine. This recipe is sure to hit the spot!
- bag of fritos/tortilla chips
- 1lb of  ground beef
- 1 15oz can of ranch style beans
- 1 10 oz can of rotel
- 1 15 oz can of whole kernel corn
- 1 15 oz can of cream style sweet corn
- 1 8oz can tomato sauce
- 1 packet of dry salad dressing and seasoning mix
- 1 packet of taco seasoning mix
- 1 bag of shredded cheese
- 1 onion

- Be sure to spray the bottom of the pot with any non-stick spray
- Start off by adding a tablespoon of butter
- Cut up and dice the onion and throw it into the pot to saute
- Once the onion is sauteed go ahead and add in the ground meat
- Season the meat mixture how you normally would (we used a little bit of Tony's and garlic powder) and brown the ground meat with onion
- Once meat is browned add in all of the other canned ingredients (do not drain)
- Let it simmer and cook for about 10/15 minutes, stirring occasionally
- It is now ready to serve
- Add either frito / tortilla chips to the bottom of the bowl, scoop in taco soup, and top with cheese
- Enjoy!!

* We usually use tortilla chips but had Fritos on hand this time. My husband said he prefers it with the tortilla chips but both ways are delicious!

Thanks so much for reading!!
