Here are my most used makeup brushes. I will do a post on my favorite eye brushes later on. I obviously have not tried every brush out there, but out of the ones that I have these are my favorites!

The sigma brushes are my must have makeup brushes that I can not live without. I use the F80 to apply my foundation, the F86 for my under eye concealer (life changing), and the F35 for highlighter. I have tried a couple of sephora brushes and actually hated one, but I love the Sephora #48 brush. Even though it says that it is a bronzer brush it works amazingly as a foundation brush. I use the sephora #54 brush to contour with and it does a great job, however I am still looking for a new contour brush to try out at the moment! The Real Techniques brushes are not only great but are also so cheap (with no shedding)! The expert face brush is also great for foundation, and the powder brush is amazing to bronze/blend all over the face and neck with. Last but definitely not least the beauty blender is seriously AHmazing!! You wet it, squeeze it out and use it to pat in your foundation. It gives such a great, natural, airbrushed look! You must try it right now if you never have....seriously go order it now! ;)

Hope this helps if you were on the market for new makeup brushes!!
Please leave comments below letting me know your favorites when it comes to makeup brushes. I would love to hear what you are loving and any recommendations on new ones that I should try! Also if you try any of these let me know how you like them.

Beach Bag Must Haves

My husband and I love going to the beach for vacations. Florida is one of our favorite places to go together and although we can not make it there this year I thought I would share my beach/pool bag must haves.

The tote I have in this picture is one that I have had for awhile now from bath and body works that came with some of their products in it. I like it because it zips completely closed at the top to help keep the sand out and it is also cute! Most of the time I just use bags like these that I get from Victoria Secret or Bath and Body Works from promotional sales because they are cute, but if they get ruined its not a big deal because it is not a bag that I paid a lot for. Obviously you will need your bikini and a cute cover up unless you like to hang out at the nude beaches (to each their own). Also a must have is a big beach towel, a pair of sunglasses to protect those eyeballs, a hat to help protect your face, and a pair of flip flops so your feet do not burn off in the hot sand (trust me you DO NOT want to experience that). The most important thing is making sure you apply enough sunscreen and protect your skin from the sun. I used to hate applying sunscreen because I did not like how it felt greasy and sticky, but this Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen feels like you're applying lotion instead. It is also a high SPF and smells great, and the after lotion is even better (that's why it is pretty much gone).  Most of the time when I am at the beach I do not wear any makeup at all but if  I do it is very lightweight. A matte tinted mositurizer, a cream bronzer, waterproof mascara, and a light wash of lip balm is all you need. If any of y'all are heading to the beach this summer I hope you enjoy and drink and margarita for me! :)

Makeup Storage

Hey y'all I just got in my new makeup storage and am loving it so I thought I would share where I got it from in case anyone is looking for ideas for storing makeup. I should probably be a little bit ashamed of the amount of makeup I have, but I just cant help myself when I am at the store, no matter if its Walmart or the mall I always find myself in the makeup isles and stores. I absolutely love trying out new makeup and finding new holy grail products!! So if you ever have a question on a product or want reviews on anything let me know in the comments below because I love giving my opinions and experience with beauty products....that is a huge reason why I started this whole blog anyways :). We are currently living in an apartment until we get done building our house (we just started the process of getting a plan set in stone) so my vanity area is a little smaller than I would like but having storage like this is really helping with space and also looks so cute on the counter!! I have wanted this type of storage for over a year now but did not want to spend the hundreds of dollars that most of these clear acrylic storage systems cost! As you will see in the pictures below the old storage I had was the original compromise that I came up with after I had found these clear three drawer units from The Container Store. They were great at first and I would still recommend them but I quickly out grew them and compared to these new acrylic drawers I got, also from the container store, they feel a little cheap. These new drawers are a nice thick acrylic and look exactly like many of the boxes you see that cost way more. When you stack them like I did it makes a really great makeup storage system and looks awesome on your vanity for half the price of the other clear acrylic makeup storage boxes.  They are also on sale right now so get them now while they are even cheaper!! I got two of the regular drawers, two wide drawers, a tray top, and a 24 count lipstick tray.

I ran out of room and could not even close one of the drawers to the three drawer container above.
Yes this is a complete mess haha

As you can see I still kept my old three drawer containers to use and just stacked them on top of each other. I plan to get maybe two more of the wide drawers to be able to fit everything in the one stack and I think that it will look really great! I also had this acrylic four section box that I use as a brush holder that I had previously purchased. I got all of this for just over $100 versus paying over $200-$300 for the clear acrylic boxes that you see on the internet.

Hope that this was helpful for some of you!!

Our Golden Man

I figured since the majority of my post on instagram are pictures of my dog I would formally introduce him to the blog!! Plus let's be real I'll take any chance I can get to gush about him some more and post even more adorable pictures. I will start off by saying (and warning) that I am definitely a crazy dog lady and think of him as my first born child! I basically have been obsessed with dogs since favorite Disney movie was 101 Dalmatians and I would cry every time my mom would have to take the VHS out to rewind it (yes I come from the "old school" 90's). That being said, even though I grew up with dogs in our family I had basically dreamed about the day I lived on my own, in my own place, and had my very own dog since I was a little girl. Yes I know that probably sounds a little strange most girls dream about their wedding day I dreamed about getting a dog! haha! So when I was in my last semester of college going for my bachelors in Animal Science (obviously, what else) I decided that I could not wait another second and got in touch with a lady who had been recommended to me by a client who owned a beautiful golden at the vet clinic I was working at. Being the crazy lady I am I actually had gotten in touch with her a year before I actually got him!! My friends and family thought I was nuts but I got to really know the lady( technically breeder but she only did two litters with her female and was not a big time breeder, which I liked) who I was getting him from. I also got to be apart of the whole process from the moment his mother was bred down to getting pictures of each and every puppy that came out as she was giving birth! Some of y'all might think that's a little crazy but I absolutely loved being a part of the whole process!! I also got to be the first one to pick a puppy and when that day came for my husband and I to make the trip to go and pick one out I honestly was on cloud nine and knew he was the one I wanted as soon as I saw him!! The hardest part of the whole thing had to be leaving him there and waiting the few more weeks until we could go back and officially bring him home with us! When we got him we wanted to name him a cute, southern, uncommon we went with Ford! haha and he is basically perfect!! Now that I have gushed way too much probably making most of you think that I have got to be a little nuts at this point I will get on to the pictures!! Who doesn't love puppy pictures?! Enjoy!
These are old cell phone pictures of the night they were cute is the puppy that is upside down! :)

I got daily pictures of all of these cuties and it seemed like forverrr until they were old enough for me to actually choose one!

The day I picked him out! He was the lightest biggest male!

The day we brought him home! I may or may not have cried with tears of joy..

His puppy phase, his awkward phase, his naughty phase, and now!

Sorry for the picture overload how could I choose between the hundreds I have??

On a side note I would like to mention that yes I did get him from a breeder.. I had known I wanted a Golden Retriever forever and wanted to make sure I really knew who I was getting him from, how they were with their dogs, and know that he came from a healthy bloodline. I strongly believe in rescuing dogs and totally plan on our next dog being a rescue!! The amount of dogs out there without homes just saddens me and is an important reminder of why it is soooo important to spay and neuter your dogs!

Anyways thanks for reading through all my gushing and pictures!! Hope this brightened your day!
